Season Schedule
Christ's final days are dramatized with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge and explosive theatricality. "Jesus Christ Superstar" illuminates the transcendent power of the human spirit with a passion that goes straight to the heart.

The rock opera is told from the perspective of those who surround him - from the apostles, including Judas and Peter, and Mary Magdalene to Pontius Pilate, King Herod and the chief priests.

The play became an almost instant classic when it was released in the early 1970's. It has been produced several times on Broadway, where it is currently playing, as well as having been made into a film twice with another film production slated for 2014.

Well-known songs from rock opera include "Superstar," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," and "King Herod's Song," among others.
