LTO’s ‘Funny Girl’ Musical Opens June 16th
The musical, which is semi biographical, is set in and around New York City just prior to and following World War I. Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice, awaiting the return of her husband, Nicky Arnstein, from prison, reflects on their life together, and their story is told as a flashback. The story is told with comedy, drama, romance and plenty of music including, “People” and “Don’t Rain On My Parade”.
Artistic Director is Linda Karnauskas, Musical Director Larry Ostermeier, Technical Director Brenda Hager, Orchestra Leader Ray Lacina, and Choreographer Katie Gillespie.
Performances of ‘Funny Girl’ will be 7:30 p.m. on June 16th, 17th, 22rd, 23rd and 24th. Matinee performances will be 2 p.m. on June 18th and 25th.
